The exhibition from 2011 - The Birds produced at the Art and Education Platform Narona got permanent with courtesy of Ms Ivana Bace, the Director of the Natural History Museum Metkovic. In 2011, the artworks were stored at the Ornithology Collection (since 2015, the Natural History Museum Metkovic) for possible later display.

Due to specific circumstances and the founding of Powerweb, it was decided that this exhibition will be presented once a year enriched with the new artworks. We've called it - NATURA HEREDITAS.

The original exhibition - The Birds, has changed throughout these eight years. Some sculptures were destroyed due to the weather conditions or due to the specific materials that they were build from, some are part of private collections or aren't good enough in the art performance to compete with the new artworks (more on that, read in Narona Galleries). These artists' artworks were the first permanent exhibition: Drazen Brkic, Marina Djira, Nikola Faller, Ana Filipovic Utovac, Ana Gizdic, Dean Kljun, Nediljka Penovic, Alma Selmanovic and Marija Srsen.

In 2015, at the first Powerweb, we have displayed all these artworks and staged the old new exhibition in a space of the great importance for the entire Neretva Delta valley. At the Interdisciplinary Congress, organized within the Powerweb in cooperation with the Natural History Museum we've discussed how the European Development policy asserts its guidelines through the encouragement of human rights, democracy, good governance and the rule of law and as well as sustainable and inclusive growth. We hold that by this exhibition and such art participation we’ve answered at least few of the questions exposed at that Congress: To what extent is established a quality relationship between the private owners of the cultural, also natural heritage and the institutions that should take care of it?, also: How can civil initiatives, civil organizations, art and science initiatives, and institutions assist whilst being protected themselves in their work and the rights they claim on it? and the question: Is there a quality communication between the state and local institutions that serve the citizens and the citizens who take bask of such arranged systems? Good and quality cooperation between the organization and a state institution can produce long-term dialog that can influence the engagement of the local community. As it shows, the NATURA HEREDITAS exhibition offers to share the experiences and the personal cognition visual dialog of the natural values and its, albeit limited regeneration, also the cultural values and our obligation to take care of our history. The exhibition instructs lifelong learning, work on oneself, and the work on the local and the global community. This excerpt is from the International Interdisciplinary Meeting, lectures, A. Gizdic: NATURA HEREDITAS - Significance of Art in Local Community Engagement, in 2018. Also, Chris Freemantle, the RCN representative establishes in his lecture '#art4wetlands: "Art is one of the important aspects of the cultural agenda intersecting with Youth and also connecting with food, traditional agriculture, and indigenous knowledge and practice." His presentation has highlighted the roles that contemporary artists perform in the context of wetland conservation, restoration and wise use drawing on examples from the current #art4wetlands programme.

We have started to call for artists in 2016. For that purpose, we have formed the NATURA HEREDITAS Board. The task of the Board is to select the artwork for the permanent exhibition and/or one-year display within the exhibition respecting the following:

1. The artists can participate in the exhibition and not want to leave their artwork as a permanent exhibit.

2. The artworks must correlate to the theme propositions (the natural and cultural heritage) of the submitted competition.

3. The artworks must be compatible with the space of the Museum.

4. The artists are encouraged to participate in the arranging of their artwork at the exhibition.

In December 10 - 20, 2016 permanent exhibition NATURA HEREDITAS hosted Celia Gregory - The Marine Foundation (Celia Gregory's artwork: Living Sculptures in the Sea is permanent exhibition since 2016), Marin Marinic, Ana Muscet and Mirjana Tomasevic Dancevic. This exhibition was presented December 10 – 20, 2016. The opening of the exhibition was arranged on 10th December, during the International Interdisciplinary Congress, within the second Powerweb 2016 / 2017

In the year 2017 NATURA HEREDITAS hosted Anamarija Bezek, Celia Gregory, Toncica Jelaca-Marijancevic, RESANITA – Anita Fuchs & Resa Pernthaller and Veronika Sulic. That year we've offered a fresh exposure to NATURA HEREDITAS. This was permanent art exhibition embracing new artworks that had specific approach to the natural and the cultural heritage of the Neretva Delta as well as the natural and cultural heritage of the world. It was also interconnected with the exhibiting concept NATURA ET CULTURA at the Powerweb 2017 / 2018  - exhibition exhibited in sequences: at the ecologically important sites (the Neretva Delta and afterwards Prapratno at Peljesac) and proper, sterling exhibiting places as are a gallery and a museum (Izidor Krsnjavi Gallery in Zagreb and the Natural History Museum Metkovic). In the 2017 it became full-blooded International exhibition.

With the courtesy of Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society in Sabah, Malaysia in 2018, NATURA HEREDITAS became NATURA – WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE exhibition, a distinct spin-off concept of NATURA HEREDITAS also presented in the gallery above. Our humble contribution to SWCS conceived as a start of a good friendship, kind collaboration, exchanging the experiences and mutual understanding. For this purpose, we donated the sculpture Start as a token of appreciation and good fortune for the permanent exhibition and complementary cooperation. Understanding such spirit and personal endeavour regarding global benevolent connection, we did yet another,  an annual NATURA HEREDITAS in Croatia with our long-term partners - the Natural History Museum in Metkovic. We do wish to accomplish  this firm, artistic, and appropriate consolidating construct.

POWERPROGRESSIVEART, we remind you, connects people and creates cooperation - Powerweb - through the art, science, culture, permanent education, the cultural and the natural heritage of Croatia, Europe, and the world. (intro by Ana Gizdic)
