The exhibition took place on a rocky beach near Prapratno on the Peljesac peninsula from 19th till 22nd of August 2017. The guests were asked to arrive by boat.

POWER PROGRESSIVE ART ON THE ROCKS interconnected with another exhibiting project NATURA HEREDITAS and was the second display of a three-part exhibiting concept NATURA ET CULTURA - an exhibition exhibited in sequences: at the ecologically important sites (at the Neretva Delta, afterward in Prapratno at Peljesac) and then in proper, sterling exhibiting places as are a gallery and a museum (The Natural History Museum Metkovic and Izidor Krsnjavi Gallery in Zagreb).

The premises to conduct such a concept was the luxury of the classic art-making process not minding its conventional stages. The other, the more unpredictable premise was that the artworks exhibited will stay at their post. For the closed and cultivated spaces of artistic exposition, this is hardly ever an issue. So, how does the artwork breathe in nature, and further, how does the exhibition accomplish its believable display as opposed to the accuracy and disposition of the mentioned exhibiting places?

These tender pieces of art were exposed to a cape, not quite on a beach. Nevertheless, we, The Guardians of the Exhibition swam, bathed and socialized there. Along with ten wild dolphins. They were following the fishermen trawlers anchored in the nearby harbor. The opening of the exhibition prolonged to tomorrow, then the day after and another day. The weather conditions were to be watched over, especially the winds - the Maestral and the Sirocco. But, it seemed that the liberating space of nature gave the artworks a new form that we perceived as an art in - the art in perpetuity (A. Gizdic, NATURA ET CULTURA, the exhibiting concept, 2017, publication): "The sculptures seemed untamed and wild. They were vigorous, even feral coalescing with the robust walls of rocks and wild grass. The art pieces subsequently became a part of the scenery with only glimpses of the sea giving a certain softness. The winds would somehow stop blowing, overleaping this art ground while the rebellious waves of the Sirocco didn't rise to touch the artworks (even with the tide level visibly higher then the level of our exhibiting place was). Well, we have decided that this poetic and romantic course of events was of the sort - for the sake of art."

And, when ten wild dolphins attend your exhibition, then - you've really made it.

The exhibiting artists were: Ana Gizdic, Celia Gregory - The Marine Foundation, Ana Kincic Dubic, Marin Marinic, RESANITA - Anita Fuchs & Resa Pernthaller, Petra Ruzic, and Marija Srsen. (intro by Ana Gizdic)
